How to Edit/Export MAGIC LANTERN Raw Video | Simple Workflow Tutorial [2020] Here it is, pretty much the stuff I do when editing my ML RAW footage after each shoot - it's simple and quick, unless I want heavy grading. I usually just paste a receipt over all the clips in MLV App and then make slight adjustments to ensure each clip looks the way I want them to look. All the footage were graded in Davinci Resolve and placed side-by-side so I could get them to look close as possible. The M50 4K shocked me, it's quite good in terms of colour. It does look more compressed and the highlights/latitude are a little poorer than the M with Magic Lantern RAW. I do prefer the EOS M RAW more, but for the quick stuff/YouTube, the M50 is absolutely no slouch. I'm also expecting YouTube Compression to make the comparison more difficult. The EOS M is slightly more detailed too with ML RAW 2.5K. Loved using it so much I purchased another black one which means now I have [4] EOS M's. Autofocus is quicker than the original M but not reliable enough for recording yourself. I may have to test more AF settings with this. Continuos Raw is available, monitors are working perfectly with the M2 as long as Wi-fi is "disabled". I actually shot this 9 years ago when Magic Lantern first introduced the raw video hack to Canon DSLR’s, but decided recently to upscale that footage with Kokoon. Original description- Testing out ML's raw, 14 bit video feature on the 600D (T3i). Rokinon 35mm Cine, cheap ass wobbly tripod. Shot over the course of a week with a few different alpha builds of raw video for 600D (Tragic Lantern 2.0). 1152x480 resolution, uprezzed in post to 1280x533 Shaky video due to handheld shots and strong wind, the build itself was very stable for being so new. Bad pixel areas pop up here and there, they've since been addressed in the new builds. Banding and some aliasing from the uprez. Original Link- 🤍

But the IBIS and ease of use and workflow of the G85 make it an all-rounder that with finer post work can achieve similar results. This is for Danne's build on the Canon 5D MKiii using Magic Lantern. How to shoot 5.7k RAW continuous. It is just a quick settings guide, not an in depth tutorial. I typically use a Canon 17- 40 mm EF L lens however any lens will work for this setup. It does not require you utilize anamorphic lenses. The compression is done by the sensor. I want to see the behavior of rolling shutter on the 5D mkII when recording in Raw DNGs with ML Raw pre-alpha. Since I only have one 5D2 and a 7D, I shot them first both at H264 to create a baseline behavior. If both have similar behavior in h264, then I can use the 7D to do a side by side with the 5D recording raw while the 7D at h264. The result I was after is not to see which camera was better but rather to have a basis to see if RS was any worse for just one camera (the 5D) between two formats, Raw DNG and H264. The result I got for the first test, which was H264 on both, was what I used as basis to see in the second, which is raw and H264 if there is a difference between raw and h264 for the 5D alone. That was my objective. Not weather one cam had better RS effect than the other.
