#woodturning and a little table saw work My father-in-law gave us some IPE wood about a year or so ago he had kept it for a good many of years, he said it was some leftovers from building a deck, it’s a very dense wood and supposed to hold up very good in the outdoors, it makes some pretty nasty yellow powdery dust when ya cut it, I’m wondering if it’s poisonous to breathe? I’m sure I did breathe probably some of it in, tried my best to keep good airflow with fans, If anyone has any other info on it about the yellow dust please send me a comment about it, don’t know much about it other than that and also I don’t think it will float, My mother and father-in-law also do a farmers market in Murphy North Carolina, I love going to these but have never sat in one, me and my wife are trying to get a few projects together to go to the market, it’s April-3, had a thought of bird feeders/ squirrel feeders so thought the IPE wood would be perfect for that.
